Noel Hennessy
Associate Consultant
Noel Hennessy has over 30 years’ experience delivering operational excellence and improvement programmes in multi-national organisations. He was the EU / Asia Enterprise Excellence Director for Lake Region Medical from 2005 to 2018. During this time, the site achieved the Shingo Bronze Medallion in recognition of their Operational Excellence Program. Noel is now an examiner for the Shingo Institute and participates in assessing sites globally on a regular basis.
In addition, Noel has held leadership roles with companies such as Seagate Technologies, GSK, TEVA, 3 COM and Measurex. In 2007, he was awarded his MSc in Lean Operations from Cardiff University and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2017. The focus of Noel’s doctoral thesis was exploring the relationship between Employee Engagement and Continuous Improvement.
Noel’s quest for best practice has taken him to Europe, the United States, India, and Japan on benchmarking visits. He is a strong believer in Lean’s transformational power, particularly the Shingo Model, which he believes focuses on the behaviours and systems essential for long-term development.
